ÉTS Hub is an independent student project, not officially affiliated with École de technologie supérieure. This page explains plainly what is kept, why, and how to have your data erased.
Using the site without an account
Signing in is optional. Without an account, no personal data is sent anywhere: your favorites and grade calculator stay in your browser’s storage, on your device. Clearing your browser data erases them permanently.
What is kept if you sign in
If you choose to sign in with Google or Microsoft, ÉTS Hub receives and stores your email address and a technical identifier provided by that service. Your password is never shared with ÉTS Hub: authentication happens entirely at Google or Microsoft.
Your favorites and grade calculator content are then saved so they follow you across devices. They are encrypted before being stored, which makes them unreadable, including to the person who administers the site.
The date of your last use is also kept, solely to estimate how many people use the site.
What is never done
No data is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. There is no profiling, no advertising, and no tracking of your behaviour outside of ÉTS Hub.
Where data is stored
Data is hosted with Neon (database) and Vercel (site hosting), on servers located in the United States. Anonymous analytics are used to count visits, without identifying individuals.
Erasing your data
You may request full deletion of your account and everything linked to it, at any time and without justification, by writing to mariamhimrane@gmail.com or using the contact form on the site. Deletion is permanent and carried out promptly.
You can also simply sign out: your data then stops syncing.
Questions
